Four teenagers have been charged following investigation of an alleged stolen vehicle.
About 12.30am today (Friday 6 September 2024), officers attached to Central Metropolitan Strike Force Sweetenham observed a Dodge RAM utility vehicle, which had allegedly been stolen, travelling on Stanmore Road, Enmore.
The vehicle was monitored with the assistance of Polair to Baird Avenue, Matraville, before the vehicle stopped and five occupants fled on foot.
A perimeter was established and following a foot pursuit, four of the five occupants – aged 14 and 15 – were arrested on Daunt Avenue and Patterson Street, Matraville.
Two boys aged 14 and 15 were taken to Maroubra Police Station with the other two boys – both aged 15 – taken to Waverley Police Station.
They were all charged with be carried in conveyance taken without consent of owner.
They were all bail refused to appear before a Children’s Court today (Friday 6 September 2024).
