A man has been charged after allegedly assaulting police in Ringwood last night.
Officers responded to reports of a man seen running through traffic and allegedly assaulting passersby in a carpark on Bond Street about 8pm.
Police arrived swiftly and arrested a man before he allegedly spat on one of the officers.
No one was physically injured.
A 26-year-old Ringwood man was charged with assault.
He was bailed to appear before Ringwood Magistrates’ Court on 12 May.
