Police have charged a man after he allegedly threw a bottle at an umpire during an AFL match at Marvel Stadium over the weekend.
Investigators identified a 23-year-old Northcote man, who attended a police station by appointment earlier today.
He was interviewed and subsequently charged with recklessly cause injury, discharge a missile and unlawful assault, following the incident on Sunday, 25 August.
The man has been bailed to face Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on 1 November.
