A man has been charged following an alleged assault in Melbourne on Sunday morning, 28 November.
Investigators have been told a 45-year-old St Kilda man was allegedly assaulted following an altercation with another man on Elizabeth Street about 12.40pm.
The victim fell to the ground and sustained a serious head injury and was taken to hospital for treatment.
A 20-year-old Seaford man was arrested at the scene and has been charged with:
• Intentionally cause injury;
• Recklessly cause injury;
• Affray;
• Assault with a weapon; and
• Commit indictable offence whilst on bail.
He has been remanded and will appear at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court later this morning.
