Officers from the Major Crash Investigation Section have charged a 42-year-old man as a result of their investigation into a crash that occurred in Wattelup on Friday, 31 March 2023.
It will be alleged about 3.50pm, the 42-yearold man was driving a Toyota Hilux that collided with a Longjia moped on Rockingham Road.
The 16-year-old male rider of the moped sustained critical injuries as a result of the crash and was conveyed to hospital where he later died.
The 42-year-old man from Wanneroo has been charged with:
• Dangerous Driving Occasioning Death.
He is due to appear before the Fremantle Magistrates Court on Tuesday, 2 May 2023.
