Detectives from Joint Task Force Icarus have charged a man with a number of offences following a search warrant in Reservoir yesterday.
Investigators executed the warrant on Purinuan Road just before 11am on 9 April in relation to the import of a marketable quantity of drugs.
During the warrant police also located a number of rounds of ammunition..
A 36-year-old Reservoir man was arrested and charged with importing a marketable quantity of border controlled drug and possession of cartridge ammunition.
The Reservoir man was remanded to appear at the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court today.
Detective Superintendent Debra Robertson of the Victoria Police Organised Crime Division said this was a great result.
“The investigation is another example of the ongoing joint commitment of Victoria Police, Australian Border Force and AFP to reduce the supply of drugs and the subsequent harm they cause to the community,” she said.
