Melbourne Sexual Offences and Child Abuse Investigation Team detectives have charged a 31-year-old man following a sexual assault in North Melbourne yesterday.
Emergency services were called to Boundary Road near Racecourse Road where an 11-year-old child was sexually assaulted just before 2pm.
A North Melbourne man has been charged with one count of rape.
He has been remanded to appear at the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court today.
