Hume Crime Investigation Unit detectives have charged a man after executing a search warrant in Wildwood this morning.
A search of the Wildwood Road property was undertaken involving a range of specialist resources including the Search and Rescue Squad, Water Police, Dog Squad, State Highway Patrol’s Solo Unit, Vehicle Crime Squad, Hume Crime Investigation Unit and North West Metro Region Crime Squad.
Detectives located and seized a firearm, ammunition, a quantity of drugs and four stolen vehicles.
A 34-year-old Wildwood man was arrested and interviewed in relation to the items located at the property.
He has since been charged with:
– prohibited person possess firearm
– possess cartridge ammunition
– possess imitation firearm
– handle stolen goods
– possessing drugs of dependence
He was remanded to appear before Broadmeadows Magistrates’ Court on 24 July.
