A man and a woman will appear in court today charged after a woman was allegedly kidnapped and assaulted in Sydney’s East on Tuesday.
About 8.30pm on 4 January 2022, officers from Kings Cross Police Area Command attended an apartment complex on Dowling Street, Woolloomooloo, after reports of loud noises inside a unit.
Upon arrival, police located the woman inside the apartment with injuries consistent with being assaulted.
She was taken to St Vincent’s Hospital where she was treated for lacerations to her face.
The man – aged 38 and the woman aged – 40 were arrested and taken to Kings Cross Police Station.
They were each charged with wound person intend to cause grievous bodily harm, kidnap in company w/i serious indictable occasion abh and armed w/i commit indictable offence.
The woman was also charged with supply prohibited drug >indictable &
They were both refused bail to appear before Parramatta Local Court on Thursday 6 January 2022.
