A North West man has been charged with wounding over an incident at Don overnight.

Police were called to Forth Road just before 8.30pm after reports a man received serious, but non-life-threatening injuries following an altercation with another man at a private residence.

The victim was taken to Hospital by ambulance and is in a stable condition.

A 37-year-old Don man was taken into custody at the scene, and was charged with one count of wounding.

He was detained to appear in an after hours court this evening at the Devonport Magistrates Court.
