A man has been charged after allegedly sexually assaulting a teenage girl in Sydney’s east.
Officers attached to Eastern Suburbs Police Area Command were told a told a man allegedly sexually assaulted a 15-year-old girl at a shopping centre on Oxford Street, Bondi Junction, about 8.30pm on Friday (13 December 2024).
Following inquiries, detectives arrested a 27-year-old man at a rail/bus interchange in Bondi Junction about 3.45pm on Sunday (15 December 2024).
He was taken to Waverley police station and charged with:
- Six counts of intentionally sexually touch child 10 years & 16 years
- Groom child for unlawful sexual activity
- Aggravated sex assault- victim under the age of 16 years
The man was refused bail and appeared before Waverley Local Court yesterday (Monday 16 December 2024) where he was again refused bail to appear before Downing Centre Local Court on Tuesday 25 February 2025.
