A man has faced court charged after a woman was hospitalised following an alleged stabbing in Sydney’s Eastern Suburbs.
Just before 11am on Friday (12 April 2024), officers attached to Eastern Suburbs Police Area Command were called to Roscoe Street, Bondi Beach, after reports of a stabbing.
NSW Ambulance paramedics treated a 36-year-old woman for a head injury before she was taken to hospital in a stable condition.
A crime scene was established, and officers attached to Eastern Suburbs Police Area Command commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
Following inquiries, a 43-year-old man was arrested at Riverwood about 1.20pm the same day (Friday 12 April 2024).
He was taken to Campsie Police Station and charged with wound person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
The man appeared at Parramatta Local Court yesterday (Saturday 13 April 2024), where he was formally refused bail to appear at Waverley Local Court on Tuesday 11 June 2024.
