A man will appear in court tomorrow charged with murder following the death of a woman at a home in Sydney’s west overnight.
About 12.50am (Saturday 25 February 2023), emergency services were called to a home on Brighton Street, Greystanes, following reports of a domestic violence-related incident.
Officers from Cumberland Police Area Command attended and found the body of a woman inside the home. She has not been formally identified but is believed to be aged in her 30s.
A 28-year-old man – known to the woman – was arrested at the property and taken to Granville Police Station.
Detectives established Strike Force Alimah to investigate the circumstances surrounding the women’s death.
The man has since been charged with murder (DV) and he was refused bail to appear at Parramatta Bail Court tomorrow (Sunday 26 February 2023).
