Police Charge Teen Over Fatal Stabbing – Kingswood

A teenage boy will face court today charged with murder following the death of a man at Kingswood this week.

Emergency services were called to the Great Western Highway, near Kingswood Train Station, about 10.20pm (Tuesday 4 February 2025), after a 58-year-old man was found suffering a stab wound to his chest.

NSW Ambulance paramedics treated the man before he was taken to Westmead Hospital, where he died.

A crime scene was established with detectives from Nepean Police Area Command commencing an investigation under Strike Force Narrira, with the assistance of the State Crime Command’s Homicide Squad.

Following inquiries, six people –two boys, aged 15 and a third, aged 17, two girls, aged 13 and 16, and a 19-year-old man – were arrested at homes in Werrington, South Penrith, and Penrith.

They were taken to Penrith and St Marys Police Stations and later released, pending further inquiries.

About 1.10pm yesterday (Wednesday 5 February 2025), a 16-year-old boy was arrested at St Marys Police Station, before being taken to Mt Druitt Police Station.

He was charged with murder and refused bail to appear before a children’s court later today (Thursday 6 February 2025).

Inquiries under Strike Force Narrira remain ongoing.
