Investigators have charged a teenager with murder following a fatal stabbing in Sydney’s south today.
About 1.30am (Wednesday 29 January 2020), emergency services were called to a home in Woolooware, following reports a woman had been stabbed in the back.
The 42-year-old woman was taken to St George Hospital in a critical condition and, despite attempts to revive her, passed away.
Officers from Sutherland Shire Police Area Command established a crime scene and commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
Shortly after, investigators arrested a 16-year-old boy and he was taken to Sutherland Police Station.
The teenager was charged with murder and refused bail to appear at a children’s court today (Wednesday 29 January 2020).
