Two men and a woman have been arrested following an alleged pursuit at Wauchope last night.
About 10.50pm (Thursday 6 July 2023), police from Mid North Coast Police District attempted to stop a vehicle on Bago Road, Wauchope.
When the vehicle allegedly failed to stop, a pursuit was initiated travelling from Bago Road to Burrawan Forest Drive, Wauchope.
The pursuit came to an end a short time later, with the driver, a man aged 26, and two passengers aged 33 and 36, arrested at the scene before being taken to Wauchope Police Station.
A subsequent search of the vehicle allegedly revealed an amount of cannabis, ammunition and $3450 cash, while a search of one of the passengers revealed an amount of cannabis and 17 diazepam tablets.
The driver was charged with police pursuit – not stop – drive at speed, drive motor vehicle during disqualification period, acquire etc ammunition subject to prohibition order, possess ammunition w/o holding licence/permit/authority, possess prohibited drug, drive motor vehicle during disqualification period.
He first appeared before Port Macquarie Local Court today (Friday 7 July 2023) where he was formally refused bail to appear before the same court on Thursday 24 August 2023.
The 33-year-old man was charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm and common assault, in relation to an alleged assault at Port Macquarie in April 2023.
He appeared before Port Macquarie Local Court today (Friday 7 July 2023) where he was granted strict conditional bail to appear before the same court on Wednesday 16 August 2023.
The 36-year-old woman was charged with possess prohibited drug and possess/attempt to, prescribed restricted substance.
She was issued a Court Attendance Notice for Port Macquarie Local Court on Wednesday 9 August 2023.
