Taskforce Saturate officers have arrested and charged three people in relation to an ongoing series of thefts which have been occurring across Southern Tasmania since 21 August 2024.
Police charged:
- a 24-year-old Glenorchy man with 24x stealing and 1x assault. He was detained to appear before the Hobart Magistrates Court today.
- a 26-year-old Glenorchy woman with 8 x stealing and 1x unlawful possession. She was detained to appear before the Hobart Magistrates Court today.
- a 29-year-old Glenorchy man with 1x stealing. He was bailed to appear at a later date.
Police will allege the total value of property stolen is estimated at $15,000. As a result of searches conducted, police have recovered approximately $3,000 of the allegedly stolen property.
The police investigation into the matters is ongoing, with police seeking information in relation to a silver Kia Rio hatchback registration C34LF and a fawn Toyota Camry sedan registration J42LN.
