Two people will face court today charged following an investigation into an alleged armed robbery in the state’s north-west yesterday.
About 4.30am (Sunday 26 May 2024), a man attended a drive through business on Maitland Street, Narrabri, in a car and placed an order.
A short time later a woman – allegedly armed with a firearm – approached the drive through window demanding cash.
The woman fled on foot with cash and the man left in his car.
About 3.30pm the same day, a man and woman attended Narrabri Police Station and were arrested.
Police also attended a home on Purcell Drive, Narrabri, and executed a search warrant, about 5pm.
The 30-year-old man and 34-year-old woman were each charged with robbery while armed with dangerous weapon.
They were both refused bail to appear at Narrabri Local Court today (Monday 27 May 2024).
