Port Phillip and Hobson’s Bay Crime Investigation Unit detectives charged two people following an investigation into firearms incidents in Melbourne’s southern suburbs yesterday morning.
A number of shots were allegedly fired into a car on Grosvenor Street about 1am and a gold coloured Toyota Camry was seen fleeing the area.
A number of shots were also allegedly fired into a garage of a Corrigan Street address about 10.30am yesterday.
A man and a woman, both from Cheltenham, were arrested at a residence on Kavanagh Street in Cheltenham.
A search warrant was executed and three stolen motorcycles, three vehicles and three firearms, ammunition and firearm parts were seized.
A 39-year-old man has been charged with conduct endangering life, criminal damage, prohibited person possess firearm and other firearm related offences.
A 26-year-old woman was charged with possess a drug of dependence, possess ammunition and handle stolen goods.
They have both been remanded in custody to appear at Melbourne Magistrates’ Court this morning.
