Two men have been charged over alleged drug supply offences following a vehicle stop at Catherine Field in Sydney’s southwest.
Just after 12.00pm today (Tuesday 19 November 2024), officers from Camden Police Area Command Proactive Crime Team stopped the driver of a white Toyota van on Camden Valley Way at Catherine Field.
Following a search of the vehicle, police allegedly located three large plastic storage bags in the rear of the van. Inside these bags were 40 clear vacuum sealed bags, containing approximately 22.14 kilograms of cannabis.
The street value of the cannabis is approximately $180,000.
The 33-year-old male driver and 27-year-old passenger were arrested and taken to Narellan Police Station.
Both men were charged with supply prohibited drug and possess prohibited drug.
They were both refused bail to appear at Campbelltown Local Court tomorrow (Wednesday 20 November 2024).
