A woman has been charged with a domestic related stabbing after a man was found seriously injured at Budgewoi this morning
About 7.20am (Wednesday 9 October 2019), police attached to Tuggerah Lakes Police District attended a house in Scenic Drive following reports of a domestic dispute.
Police received information that a man who had left the house prior to police arriving, had suffered a significant stab injury to his shoulder blade.
A crime scene was established, and police commenced inquiries.
About 10am the 44-year-old injured man was located near shops in Scenic Drive and was treated at the scene before being transported to John Hunter Hospital and remains in a stable condition.
A 46-year-old woman was arrested at the scene and taken to Wyong Police Station.
She was charged with DV wound with intent to cause grievous bodily harm. She was refused bail and is expected to appear in Wyong Local Court tomorrow (Thursday 10 October 2019).
