Today police were joined by Transport Safety Inspectors, who provided assistance and expertise in assessing vehicle compliance.

“We will continue to undertake these enforcement activities and traffic patrols, to help keep everyone safe on our roads,” he said.
“The message is clear – safe driving behaviour, vehicle roadworthiness, and all other offences on our roads will be enforced, and we could be anywhere, at anytime.”
“Unfortunately we’ve recently observed a number of issues with unroadworthy vehicles, and cars that have new owners without the appropriate documentation.”
“Remember that if you’re buying, selling or transferring a vehicle, you must comply with all the legal requirements – visit for more information.”
Today’s results included:
- More than 260 roadworthiness and compliance inspections were undertaken, and 23 drivers were issued defect notices.
