Stonnington Crime Investigation Unit detectives are appealing for public assistance following a robbery, affray and assault at a shopping centre in Malvern East.
Detectives have been told a 15-year-old male was approached by a trio of unknown males in the food court at the Dandenong Road complex at around 4pm on 24 February.
The trio attempted to steal the teenagers clothing before proceeding to punch and then kick him whilst he was on the ground.
The offenders left the scene with the victim’s iPhone.
The teenager did not require hospitalisation but was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.
Investigators have release images of three males they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries.
