Detectives from the Eastern Region Crime Squad are seeking the public’s assistance following an aggravated home invasion in Donvale on 29 June 2023.
Shortly after 9.00pm, it is believed a group of four men wearing all black forced entry into the Beckett Road residence.
Upon entering, the men confronted a 65-year-old female victim and 67-year-old male victim. Police have been told that both victims were held at knife point and assaulted. One victim had had their hands tied behind their back and the other had their face covered for a period of time as the offenders ransacked the property.
The offenders remained in the property for around an hour, demanding access to a safe.
During the incident, the offenders stole high-end jewellery and watches valued up to $160,000 including:

• A Zenith Chronomaster watch

• A Tudor Heritage Chronograph watch
• A Panerai Radiomir Black seal watch
• A Panerai Luminor 390 watch
Following an extensive investigation, detectives believe the victims were targeted mistakenly.
Detectives are seeking the public’s assistance to identify two males they believe can assist with their investigation.
The first male is perceived to be of Pacific Islander appearance, with a solid build, aged in his 20’s with facial hair.
The second male is perceived to be Pacific Islander in appearance, with a solid build, aged in his 20’s with a tattoo across the front of his neck.
Police have also released images of a distinctive gold necklace and a number of the watches stolen.
