Police are investigating after a sporting club was robbed in Ascot overnight.
Shortly before 9.30pm, two men wearing balaclavas entered the club on Lancaster Road and approached a male staff member.
One of the men grabbed the staff member and threated him with a screw driver and during an altercation, the staff member was punched in the face by one of the men.
The pair then stole a sum of cash before fleeing the scene in a light-coloured Mercedes sedan which was last seen heading north on Nudgee Road.
The man was treated for minor injuries.
Anyone who was in the area at the time and has dashcam or has any information which may assist are being urged to contact police.
