Detectives investigating the armed robbery of a Burrum Heads service station on the weekend have released CCTV footage to identify those responsible.
Around 5.40am on Saturday, two men arrived at the Ivor Drive service station in a stolen white Nissan X-Trail, armed with knives and a firearm.
The pair entered the premises wearing balaclavas and approached the counter where the attendant was able to lock themselves in a back room.
The men then fled the business in the vehicle with a sum of cash towards the southern side of the service station.
No one was physically injured and investigations are continuing.
Initial investigations indicate the white Nissan X-Trail bearing Queensland registration
