Police are investigating after two people were threatened with a knife in their Crestmead home this afternoon.
Around 1.45pm a man and woman, both in their seventies, were at their Coffey Street home when two young men have forced entry though the garage door.
They threatened the man with a knife and chisel before searching the house. They then stole a Holden Captiva from the garage.
They crashed the car into a tree a short time later on Hakari Street and fled the scene on foot.
The men are described as in their late teens or early twenties, one is about 170cm tall, solid build with brown hair and the other is 183cm tall with a thin build.
The victims were not physically injured in the incident and do not know the men.
Police are appealing for anyone with further information, CCTV or dashcam vision to contact police.
