Maribyrnong Crime Investigation Unit detectives are investigating after a Braybrook play centre was targeted by arsonists for a third time within four days.
During the first incident it was understood a man smashed a window at the Ashley Street business about 10.25pm on Friday, 29 March.
The business was struck again the following night, with four offenders forcing entry about 2.35am on Saturday, 30 March.
A small fire was deliberately lit inside.
The offenders fled the scene and were last seen driving down Ballarat Road.
In the most recent incident, the offenders smashed the front window of the premises and set fire to the kitchen shortly before 3am.
The kitchen sustained significant damage during the blaze.
Police are conducting patrols of the area as part of the investigation and urge anyone who notices anything suspicious in the vicinity of the building to contact police.
