Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives are investigating the circumstances surrounding a car crash in Meredith yesterday afternoon.
It is understood a stolen white Nissan Patrol utility was travelling northwest on the Midland Highway, between Meredith and Elaine, when it crashed into trees near Doyles Road about 2.15pm.
The driver, a 31-year-old Delacombe man, and the passenger, a 30-year-old Armstrong man were both airlifted to hospital where they remain with life-threatening injuries.
Police are working to establish the circumstances of the crash.
