Moorabbin Crime Investigation Unit detectives are investigating a burglary at a retail store in Cheltenham last month.
Investigators have been told a man used a fire hydrant to smash the front door of the store on Centre Dandenong Road about 12am on Thursday 23 January.
He entered the store and stole cash and a vacuum cleaner.
Investigators have released CCTV and images of a man they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries.
