Police are investigating an evade incident which occurred in Glenorchy in the early hours of this morning.
Police observed a suspicious vehicle in Tolosa Street, Glenorchy shortly after 2.00 am and shortly thereafter attempted to intercept it.
While attempting an interception the vehicle gave the appearance of slowing that suggested to attending police it would stop.
This occurred on a number of occasions and the vehicle eventually drove into Jamieson Street and crashed into a power pole causing the vehicle to land on its roof.
A police vehicle received damage caused by the crashed vehicle. No police officers were injured.
All occupants of the offending vehicle were removed from the vehicle that was covered by fallen power lines.
The female driver and male front seat passenger received non-life threatening injuries in the incident. A young child was uninjured. All were taken to the Royal Hobart Hospital as a precaution.
A number of items, believed to be stolen, recovered from the vehicle have been seized by police.
