Detectives are investigating a firearms incident in Norlane last night.
Emergency services responded to reports of a man located with a gunshot wound near the intersection of Alkira and Yooringa avenues about 11pm.
The man, a 47-year-old from Geelong, was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
A crime scene has been established and an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident remains ongoing.
