Warrnambool Crime Investigation Unit detectives are appealing for information following a series of burglaries and thefts from Moonee Ponds to Warrnambool.
On Monday 1 July about 2.45am a white Toyota Hiace van was parked in Ascot Vale Road, Moonee Ponds with the keys left in the ignition.
The van was stolen and was seen about 3.50am at an attempted burglary on Mount Alexander Road, Moonee Ponds.
A brick was thrown through a window but no entry to the building was gained.
Investigators believe the van was then driven to a hair dressing salon on Pascoe Vale Road, Glenroy about 4.10am.
A rock was thrown through the front window and cash stolen.
On Tuesday 2 July the van was seen at a business on Westside Drive, Laverton North about 12.55am.
A rock was thrown through the glass doors of the business and CCTV equipment stolen.
In Warrnambool on July 3 at a business on Rooneys Road a rock was thrown through glass doors and an office ransacked, however nothing was stolen.
The van was then seen at a service station near Jamieson Street on 4 July about 2.35pm where a man filled it up with petrol before driving off without paying.
It was then found dumped in Moore Street, Warrnambool on Sunday 7 July about 7.30pm.
Investigators believe that the same offenders are responsible for all of the above incidents as well as a subsequent series of offences which started on Monday 8 July.
A white 2018 Holden Colorado ute was parked in Kepler Street about 3.15pm with its keys in its ignition.
A man and a woman got into the ute and drove off.
The ute was then seen at a burglary on High Street, Terang where cash was stolen from a business after a rock was used to smash a front door to gain entry.
On Wednesday 10 July the ute was seen in Wingate Avenue, Ascot Vale and then at a burglary in Nevada Court, Hoppers Crossing about 4.45am the next day.
The ute was recovered on Monday about 12.3am in Dawson Street, Coburg North.
Investigators have released images of a man and a woman that they believe may be able to assist with their enquiries.
