A 53-year-old woman has been charged with acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm in relation to an alleged wounding at Thabeban in Bundaberg, September 24.
At approximately 9.20pm at a residence on Sunset Drive it is alleged a woman used a knife to puncture a vehicle’s tyres.
Police will allege when the owner of the vehicle, a 48-year-old local man known to the woman, confronted her and she slashed him on the face and chest, before leaving the scene on foot.
The man was transported to Bundaberg Base Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
Police tracked the woman to a nearby address, where it is alleged she threatened officers.
Police negotiated with the 53-year-old, who was subsequently taken into custody without incident.
While in custody, the woman has allegedly assaulted a police officer by kicking him.
She has been charged with wilful damage, acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm, obstruct police and serious assault police officer.
She is expected to appear before Bundaberg Magistrates Court tomorrow (September 26).
