Transit Crime Investigation Unit detectives are appealing for public assistance following a sexual assault at a Heidelberg bus stop on 27 October.
Investigators have been told an unknown man approached a 29-year-old woman at a bus stop on the corner of Southern Road and Oriel Road in Heidelberg about 9.50am and sexually assaulted her.
The man then left the scene on foot, walking toward the Olympic village area.
Investigators have released CCTV and images of a man who may be able to assist with their enquiries.
The offender is perceived to be Caucasian, aged in his mid to late 40’s, medium build and about 183cm tall.
At the time of the incident the offender was wearing a cream baseball cap, white jacket, blue jeans and black work boots.
