Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a man in Springvale late last night (10 March).
Emergency services were called to Springvale Road about 11.50pm after reports of a single gun-shot.
A man, who is yet to be formally identified, was located suffering a gunshot wound.
Ambulance crews attended but the man died at the scene.
It is believed an unknown offender fled the scene prior to police arrival.
Police have established a crime scene at the location and are yet to establish the exact circumstances surrounding the shooting.
Homicide Squad detectives are investigating.
