A man remains in a critical condition following a stabbing at West Wollongong overnight.
About 9pm (Monday 5 May 2020), emergency services attended a unit complex in Phillips Avenue after receiving reports a man had been stabbed.
Police located a man suffering s stab wound to chest and he was treated at the scene before being taken to Wollongong Hospital. The 19-year-old man underwent emergency surgery and remains in a critical condition.
A crime scene was established, and a canvas of the area was conducted.
Detectives from Wollongong Police District attended, and an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident has commenced.
