Greensborough Highway Patrol are appealing for public assistance as they investigate a hit-run in Thomastown last night.
It is understood a blue Toyota Camry collided with a pedestrian on Settlement Road about 11.15pm on 1 June.
The pedestrian, a 36-year-old Hampton Park man, was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
The driver did not stop at the scene and continued travelling west on Settlement Road.
Police are appealing for any witnesses, or anyone with dashcam footage around the time of the incident which may assist with their enquiries.
The vehicle is believed to be a light blue Toyota Camry sedan, which investigators believe will have damage to the right head light.
