Police are investigating the wounding of a 35-year-old man shortly after 8pm last night (October 7), between Lancaster Street and Douglas Street, Garbutt.
The man suffered life-threatening injuries to his neck and is being treated in the Townsville Hospital.
Early information suggests those involved are known to each other.
A crime scene has been established and investigations are ongoing.
