Detectives from Ipswich Criminal Investigation Branch have charged a 36-year-old Redbank Plains man following an alleged armed robbery at Redbank Plains on April 2.
Police will allege the man entered a service station on Kruger Parade around 9pm, armed with a replica firearm.
He allegedly approached the employee at the front counter and threatened the man, demanding cash.
The male employee complied and was not physically injured.
It is alleged the man stole the till and left the scene in a blue Ford Territory station wagon bearing no plates.
He was arrested on April 6 and charged with one count each of armed robbery, obstruct police officer, possess utensils and fail to properly dispose of needle and syringe.
The 36-year-old Redbank Plains man is expected to appear before Ipswich Magistrates Court on April 8.
Investigations are continuing.
