Police have charged five teenage boys after they allegedly drove a stolen car from Chincilla to Cecil Plains last night.
It will be alleged on Friday night, July 12, a Volkswagen was stolen from a residential address in Chinchilla.
At 10.40pm on Sunday, July 14, the Volkswagen was involved in a break and enter at a Crows Nest supermarket and a service station at Yarraman a short time later.
From midnight the same vehicle was involved in break and enters at two service stations and a supermarket in Nanango.
At 8.49pm on Friday, July 19, a group of boys were seen in the vehicle travelling east on the Warrego Highway at Warra.
At 9.20pm police successfully deployed a tyre deflation device at Drayton Street (Warrego Highway) in Dalby. The vehicle continued to Cecil Plains before being abandoned on Cheetham Street.
At about 11.30pm the teenagers have stolen a Toyota Landcruiser and whilst trying to reverse the vehicle out of the carport have hit a fence and wedged the vehicle. The owner has come out of his house and they have threatened him with an iron bar before fleeing the scene on foot.
The Toowoomba Dog Squad attended and tracked the five boys hiding in a shed of a Cecil Plains property around 2.15am.
A 17-year-old Eli Waters boy has been charged with five counts of break and enter and one count of armed robbery. He has also been charged with two counts each of unlawful use of a motor vehicle, evade police, dangerous driving, possession of dangerous drugs and stealing and three counts of unlicensed driving.
A 16-year-old Eli Waters boy, a 16-year-old Chinchilla boy, a 15-year-old Chinchilla boy and a 14-year-old Withcott boy have all been charged with unlawful use of a motor vehicle and armed robbery.
The 16-year-old Eli Waters boy has also been charged with enter dwelling and commit an indictable offence.
