Detectives from Ipswich Criminal Investigation Branch have charged a 24-year-old East Ipswich man following an alleged attempted armed robbery on two business at East Ipswich on May 16 and May 8.
Police will allege that on May 8 the man entered a take away store on Jacaranda Street at around 8:20 pm armed with a kitchen knife.
He allegedly approached the employee at the front counter and threatened the man, demanding cash.
The male employee complied and was not physically injured.
Police will further allege that on May 16 the man entered a convenience store on Jacaranda Street at around 7pm again armed with a kitchen knife
He allegedly approached the employee at the front counter and threatened the man, demanding cash.
Following extensive investigations the man was arrested on April 19 and charged with two counts each of armed robbery and enter premises with intent to commit an offence.
The 24-year-old East Ipswich man is due to appear before Ipswich Magistrates Court on May 22.
