Northern Territory Police have arrested two youths after a woman was assaulted in Casuarina yesterday.
At 9:30am, the victim was walking through a shopping centre on Trower Road when she was assaulted by two youths. The victim was allegedly shoved to the ground, suffering a broken hand.
Detectives from Strike Force Trident arrested the pair on Sunday night at separate residences. A 14-year-old girl has since been charged with one count of aggravated assault. A 16-year-old girl has been charged with one count of aggravated assault and one count of resist police.
Both are expected to appear in court today.
Detective Senior Sergeant Mark Bland said “To cowardly attack a vulnerable member of the community is absolutely disgusting.
