Perth Detectives have charged a 30-year-old man with serious offences following an incident which occurred in Leederville yesterday, Monday 26 August 2024.
It will be alleged, about 7.30am, the man assaulted a female on the overpass to Leederville Station, before he threatened her with a knife.
The man then threatened a male with the knife before he fled the scene.
No injuries were reported from the incident.
A significant amount of police resources – including Perth and Wembley Police, Perth Detectives, Police Air Wing and the Canine Unit – were deployed to the area; however, the man was not located.
About 5.30pm yesterday, the man presented to Mirrabooka Police Station and was arrested.
Following inquiries, he was charged with;
– Common assault,
– Being armed in a way that may cause fear, and
– Endanger life, health or safety of a person.
The Nollamara man is due to appear in Perth Magistrates Court today, Tuesday 27 August 2024.
