Two men will face court, charged over an alleged car surfing incident earlier this week in Sydney’s south-west.
About 5.20pm on Monday (13 March 2023), a man was allegedly seen standing on the roof of a motor vehicle whilst it was travelling along The Horsley Drive, Fairfield.
Officers from the Traffic & Highway Patrol Command commenced an investigation into the matter after mobile phone footage of the incident was uploaded to several social media platforms.
Following inquiries, today (Friday 17 March 2023), two men – aged 67 and 28 – were issued court attendance notices to appear in Fairfield Local Court on Tuesday 9 May 2023.
The older man, and alleged driver, was charged with drive recklessly/furiously or speed/manner dangerous, whilst the younger man was charged with travel in/on part of vehicle not for passengers/good.
