Northern Territory Police have charged a man for property and domestic violence offences in Darwin.
Strike Force Trident along with Strike Force Lyra have been investigating a number of incidents involving a 40-year-old man in Darwin.
On 8 of October 2022, the man was allegedly involved in an assault on his former partner in Alawa, where he allegedly used a weapon to damage property before fleeing the scene.
On 12 of October 2022, the man, in the company of other unknown offenders, was allegedly involved in an unlawful entry at a residence in Stuart Park where a number of small items and a large quantity of money was stolen. The offenders allegedly used a stolen unlocked laptop to transfer the money between bank accounts.
Detectives arrested the man yesterday and he has since been charged with:
- 1 x Aggravated assault
- 2 x Damage property
- 1 x Possess less than trafficable schedule 2 dangerous drug
- 1 x Possess stolen property
- 1 x Drive unlicensed
- 1 x Fail to report crash
- 2 x Breach domestic violence order
He was remanded to appear in Darwin Local Court today.
