Northern Territory Police have charged two youths in relation to property offences committed in Palmerston earlier this month.
At around 4:00am on 15 September, two 15-year-old males allegedly unlawfully entered a service station in Roseberry before stealing a number of small items.
On the morning of 27 September, one of the 15-year-olds, along with a 17-year-old male allegedly attempted to unlawfully enter a property in Bakewell while in possession of an edged weapon.
The 15-year-old was apprehended by police a short time later and was charged by Strike Force Trident detectives with:
- Unlawful entry – building
- Damage to property
- Stealing
- Unlawfully possess property
- Possess controlled weapon at night
- Possess controlled weapon
- Trespass on premises
- Serious breach of bail
He was remanded to appear in court today.
Strike Force Trident detectives executed a search on a residence in Bakewell and subsequently arrested the other 15-year-old and 17-year-old youths.
The 17-year-old was charged with:
- Damage to property
- Trespass on premises
- Possess controlled weapon at night
He was granted bail to appear in court on 1 October 2021.
The 15-year-old will be dealt with under the provisions of the Youth Justice Act 2005.
