A man has been charged following investigations into a pedestrian incident overnight which injured three people.
At 12.45am today, a vehicle was travelling along Adelaide Street between George and Edward Streets, in Brisbane City.
As it approached the intersection of Albert Street, it will be alleged the vehicle struck three people who were crossing the road into King George Square.
The driver was detained by police and after returning a positive roadside test, he was taken to Roma Street where further testing returned a BAC of more than four times the legal limit, at 0.234.
A 28-year-old Redbank Plains man has been charged with drink driving and unlicensed driving. He will appear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court on April 26.
Three 18-year-old pedestrians, two women and one man were taken to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s hospital for treatment to non-life-threatening injuries.
The Forensic Crash Unit is continuing investigations into the incident.
