Mirrabooka Detectives have charged a man after a serious incident that occurred at the Des Penman Reserve on Carcoola Street in Nollamara, about 5.40pm yesterday, Friday 21 August 2020.
A woman and her two daughters were at the park when it is alleged the man chased one of the girls who was riding a scooter.
It is further alleged the man grabbed the younger child and assaulted her.
Members of the public assisted the mother and called police. The man was arrested at the scene.
The 19-year-old man from Ocean Reef has been charged with:
• Attempted Murder; and
• Aggravated Deprivation of Liberty.
He is due to appear before the Perth Magistrates Court today, 22 August 2020.
