Rockingham Detectives have charged a man in relation to two incident that occurred in the early hours of this morning, 4 December 2021.
It is alleged during a taxi ride the charged man argued with the driver before punching him. The taxi driver was able to stop the taxi at a service station on Leary Road in Baldivis.
The charged man allegedly assaulted the driver again, causing him to fall from the taxi before he was again assaulted. The 65-year-old taxi driver was conveyed by ambulance to Royal Perth Hospital.
It is further alleged the man then crossed the road to another service station where he threw food items at staff and smashed an advertising screen.
The 23-year-old man from Falcon has been charged with:-
• Aggravated Robbery;
• Aggravated Assault with Intent to do Grievous Bodily Harm; and
• Robbery.
He is in custody and will appear in the Perth Magistrates Court (Northbridge) tomorrow, 5 December 2021.
